Sounds good daveh. I'll go ahead and PM the solution, or at least, the key, to series A, to you as well.

I should be able to get a board set up for those who have already conquered Series A and B. I will send you a message via this forum's message system once I have it completed.

Anyone making any headway on breaking the series C code? I guess it's the kind of thing where you can only eliminate possibilities until you find the right one. Only there seems to be so many possibilities that you won't know how close you are until you end up solving it. Ah well, the Dr. Pepper hunt distracted me for awhile, I found where the coin was located but someone else got there first. I'll have to take another look at the last enigma again...it shall fall eventually; only a matter of time.

Funny...I was working on Dr. Pepper too. Were you in the Houston region? They had the big prize.
Now, it is time to catch up on my life, then on to Series C (in maybe 3 weeks). We never got that board setup, did we? I'll see if I can set one up once my life is back in order.

You guys did need to search on other quests. Make for a nice mental health moment.
Question: Which never seem to get answered....do you think the first letter of a word in a document (using the numbers) is viable or the whole word?
Was there any clue in the original Beale Code enigma that gave any clue as to the document used or was it also a "guessing" game?

I don't think it is the whole word; the numbers are too "dense".
I'm not sure about the original Beale...my understanding is that there weren't any clues.

That is why most think the "Beale code" was a hoax. The methodlogy can be used but with out a clue either in the "subject" of the pictures or the stories associated with them, we could use Stephen Hawkings newest theory on black holes. Has he published yet?

Wait a second. The big prize was in Houston? What was all that about Hawaii, then? Did the first clues merely lead to a part of Hawaii where there was a sign saying 'See Houston'? I'm glad I hate their product now

There were several clue sets. One led to Hawai'i, and another to Houston. There were several prizes, and the biggest prize was in Houston (I guess). I lost interest because it got too hard. Josh is a smart dude, that's fo' sho'.

Just thought I'd mention that the new Enigma board is up for those who have solved series A and B. It'd be great to get more people in on the discussion, so anyone who has solved both Enigmas should message the admin to be given access. I have a feeling that once we get more people throwing ideas around, especially ones who have cracked A and B, series C will have to fall soon as well...right? Unless it's truly uncrackable. Perhaps not in theory, but at least in practice. Only time will tell I suppose.
As for the Dr. Pepper hunt, my dad and I figured out the one for Hawaii, but only too late. Someone solved it the very morning that the phone number was released. Since the clues hadn't come near to pinpointing it down yet, they must have just had a lucky (educated) guess. As for Houston, if only I lived there...or knew someone who did. I figured it out a day or two before the last clue, so I may have had a chance. Just couldn't wager a ride all the way there on the chance that someone had found it already. If I'd known it was going to be the million dollar prize...well, maybe I would have anyway. But ah well, that hunt was fun while it lasted.

Well, Josh and I have discussed Series A and B, and it looks like we both saw the same "curiosities" that may or may not have been pointers to the solution. Unfortunately, neither of us were able to see anything similiar to point us to the Series C solution.
I feel like I've pretty much exhausted all the possibilities I can think of for Series C (short of just picking random books to try).
How do you folks feel about trying to get Dave M. to give us a not-too-helpful hint from time to time?
For starters, I'd like to know(and I think Josh concurs) whether or not it is a Beale-style cipher.

I'm all for it. You two are rather intelligent, and it's been four months since we've had any activity, despite having solved all the riddles.

Fun with Numbers:
2 24 58 35 3 8 42 101 38 14 95 4 305 5 10 16 6 67 62 21 12 15 7
Don't worry, not the real code, just a bit of fun. As for the real code, however, I'm still getting nowhere. Took a really long break from it for awhile, since there's nothing fun about bashing your head against a brick wall. But I'm convinced it will be solved eventually...perhaps after some hints are given out. And it's kind of like the lottery after all...the longer no one wins, the more the prize is worth in the end.
At least, that's what I keep telling myself. Time to go put another dent in that brick wall (or more likely my head).

We're coming up on one year since the last series was solved. Anybody making any progress on this one? Dave
