Since we all seem to be in waiting mode...fiddling with codes that do NOT want to reveal themselves, are there others to divert our attention? I saw an "inventors" contest when watching the National Geo program on Australia (with Russel Crowe) sigh narrating. The ad featured one of the founders of Apple/Mac computers. Did you catch the details? Udo needs a hobby and he has an idea also!

You could try the code that Offsky has give us on this same forum. I recall watching a invention contest/reality TV show not so long ago. It was comical, but fun to watch. Some of the inventions people came up with were incredibly bad.... like the fellow who invented a big stick to scare off dogs.

I don't think this "on the web" but I did see an advertisement re the DVD DaVinci Code to be released next Tuesday. There is an enigma embedded in the frames of the film, if I understood correctly. Anyone else see the advert?

I don't know, I'm making this up as I go...
|
I think I'll take a crack at it the first few days at least. Unfortunately travel plans would keep me from doing anything past the 15th of May, but I can't complain too much, because that's when I'm leaving for Greece I had been following the first contest they did too, but got stumped on the one puzzle involving those vases with dragons on them, in the cave. Never got the coordinates to come out right. But we'll see how this one goes.

My dad and I didn't do too well this year; we both got the wrong answer to the last puzzle, so we didn't make the semi-finals. We (actually mostly my wife) did solve this one: http://rustyredrock.com/puzzle.html though to win a quilt. There is a new puzzle up now. Do any of you know of other contests going on now? Dave

Your puzzle efforts are so great! Yea! for wife! I so enjoy "At World's End" and the story developed with this last Pirates effort. How about a description of you and Dad and the puzzles you all worked on?
If hints are to be believed, their will be another Pirates movie, I hope so.
From our DNA project, we have established our lineage was in Virginia in the 1700's so a "team" of us are putting communities together from the VA county records. Our most active researcher is 95 and has put together the County of Amelia for the 18th Century. Genealogy is as vexing as a puzzle!
