I just finished Aztec, and was entranced for nearly the entire 1000 pages.  The author does a great job of immersing the reader in another civilization, although his preoccupation with sex is somewhat comical.   Roll Eyes  He could spare the reader some detail in that regard and still tell a good tale.  Nevertheless, I highly recommend the book to those who enjoy historical fiction.
